Wimbledon is on this week....Olympic preparations are everywhere and the European Football Championships are in full swing. We woke the other night to shouts of Ole in the streets as Spain beat Portugal. One night later we walked home from the Queens Bowl and Ice (yes that is what it is called) and every pub on every corner was overflowed into the streets as Londoners cheered for Spain to beat Germany.

Our new sport is walking... I think we average ten miles a day and we are using trains, buses, boats and bikes! Our first day we took a narrated bike tour that for me was the best thing we have done so far, despite the fact that I nearly lost each of my children on multiple occasions. We flew around the city on the wrong side of the rode, through markets, parks, past the changing of the guard and along the river next to big Ben... my kind of sight seeing.
