June 14th 2007 The first full day we were here had orientation and meetings on and off. After our meetings were over we decided to go to explore Buckingham Palace. We stopped at Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. We went all the way up to the palace gates but there were no guards since it was so late. Afterwards we walked around for hours trying to find a good place to eat at. We finally stopped at an Italian restaurant. It was pretty good. Our waiter for some reason had a really hard time understanding us and messed up a lot of the orders. It’s so crazy how England really isn’t service oriented. I guess it might work out since you don’t have to tip as much as restaurants and to taxi drivers.
