Fashion Forward London

What the US calls ‘Risky’, London calls ‘Chic’!
Everyday fashion designers, magazines, and celebrities create new trends that will last for a very short time. In any country, UK or US, people will run out and buy the latest look without a blink of an eye.

Like the US, Londoners also enjoy wearing the newest styles. However, people pair the new looks with something of their own to make their look different from everyone else. This idea of making the latest trend your own creates a lack of conformity in London fashion.

When I would go out with my friends back in the states, more often than not we looked very similar; all wearing a dress, in black, or just wearing our UW gear. Here in London, I would NEVER go out looking the same as one of my friends. Each person tries to have a striking outfit on that grabs everyone’s attention. Some of my colleagues literally will buy a new outfit every time they go out clubbing.
