So, finally, the day arrived. Thanks Ally and Alice for bringing me up to the the airport where I'm chilling out at the hotel before the early 5am wake up call tomorrow. Wahay. Ready, willing and hopefully able....... Bring it on!!

Just back from Rome - visited a dying town high on an eroding outcrop and gave a lift to a sole traveller, 22 year old american japanese guy, back to Rome. Very interesting conversation about dying, Rilke, Mishima and entropy. Thought of you travelling. Good luck on the road - good conversations. Much lo0ve, Alixoxox
