Flat 12!
Andy - above me
Jessica - in the middle
Matthew - in the back
Dana - on the right Quickly quickly, quickly. This is just going to be a quick entry of a few things of note that have happened lately. I had a very relaxing weekend. Worked some on my religions paper, 'the character of the history of the Jews in England' yeah...... I didn't do as much as I should have. But I'll get there. The kittens are as cute as ever, I didn't take anymore pictures, next time I will.
Chris and I are planning our holiday, which is over my break and is coming up in 2 weeks. I found flights for as cheap as £1 but we will probably end up paying £15 for them. Right now we seem to be keen on going to France, I had thought Marseille would be nice but I'm finding better hotels for La Rochelle. (4 star for £37 a night) It is so cheap to get around Europe, providing you are already here. If I lived here all the time, when I was bored, or had a bit of time, I'd buy one of those £1 tickets and see where the wind takes me, quite literally. I think France is a good option for our first Eurotrip
because at least I know enough french to read signs and menus. Who knows where next, Krakow? No, I am cold enough.
Yes I am freezing. Saturday it was down to 42 F. I'm going to just be an ice ball come December. But I guess that is why I am going home for Christmas. And to see everyone of course.
I love Christmas. Robert (chris' housemate), Chris, and I were at Costco the other night and they had all the trees, and lights, and wreaths out. I can't wait to decorate their house. They say they have never had a christmas tree....psssh that is going to change.
I love when our teachers take us places for class. Louise (archeology prof) took us to the museum again and told us some interesting stories about the Elgin Marbles. They are pieces of a Greek Parthenon an the acropolis that had been collected by a British Lord and then donated to the museum in 1812! Yeah 1812! And Greece is still trying to get them back. That museum is older than America I think. It was 17-something.
They have a special guest in the Museum right now. That
gold statue of Kate Moss with her legs over her head that got all the press attention. Yeah, I saw it. I also saw this insane Russian (that's my guess) man. We were in a small gallery of the museum watching a little video on what some of the statues looked like when they were made. This little man, with his pink plaid hat with a feather sticking of it comes striding into the gallery wearing these enormous headphones, babbling to himself. At first I thought he had one of those audio guides, but he was listening to music, reading all of the signs in the room out loud, loudly. He obviously had no idea what he was reading and was just sounding things out. (Maybe he wasn't Russian then) The he suddenly burst into song, bouncing around the gallery like he was possessed. He came and stood right behind us, it was only then that I realized WHAT it was that he was singing. "I'm a soul man!" When I heard that I just burst out laughing, he smiled and winked at me, like the song he was listening to was a secret that only I was in on. Then it dawned on me, this man has the secret to the meaning of life. Never have I ever seen anyone so happy, so that has got to be it. And it was like he let me in on it, even if only for a second.
What if God was one of us?
Dana (one of the flatmates) and I did some grocery shopping after class today. I'm going to make yorkshire pudding for everyone, stuffed with chicken and veg. As we were leaving there was a man running toward us like he was going to miss his bus, but then I realized he was being chased by a security guard. The man was running too fast for me to react, so I just stopped, He ran into me, his elbow in my arm and kicked me square in the shin. But he dropped the back pack he was carrying and kept running. The security guard came and picked it up and then ran back the way he came. It was quite eventful, even if I really didn't do anything, I have a feeling he would have dropped the backpack wether he ran into me or not. But maybe I can pretend for a bit and think that I stopped a criminal today. All because some man in a feathered-pink-plaid hat let me in on the secret of life.

Break?
You get a break? What's the break for? I'm totally jealous because I don't get a break for another month and a half and that's just for one day!
