Our coach behind Hadrian's Wall, can't believe this is located in an urban area Day 13, we left Edinburgh and stopped at a cute medieval town, Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland and the Tenantry Column.
We got a quick look at a part of Hadrian's Wall in route to York.
Later on we arrived in York, the city still has the medieval walls surrounding it. A walking orientation included a stroll through the Shambles, another name for a collection of shops in a village setting, it was like stepping back in time. A cute word they use for alley, sniggleways. York is known as a haunted city.
At the end of our day we enjoyed a farewell dinner, it was the last dinner we were all together. I have met a number of fun and interesting people,it's kind of weird to think I may never seen any of them again once the tour ends.
Just a few more days to go.....BOB Out
