Catching up on news, making the most of a cold damp windy day.
Hi,
I finally got around to calling Mom after all of the unpacking and tending to a backload of to do's. While it is warm and sunny here in Colorado, she is in the middle of a late winter blizzard in Michigan. What she didn't know when she broke the news is that I had just previously found out from her florist. I called to order a surprise bouquet for her birthday. He could make no guarantee on the delivery date because of intrepid travel conditions. Well it's late anyway, so what is a couple more days... While we chatted I bought tickets to go and see her in a couple weeks. I feel like such a jetsetter (is that sitter? My bum is beginning to reflect it 😊 The world is shrinking by the minute. Now I have enough frequent flyer miles to go to Hawaii this winter! Christina is making plans to travel west for a broadcast conference soon. We are on the go, and taking our spirit of adventure with us.

Enough trivial news, Here are some pictures from England. We stayed for nearly a week with Mom's Brother and his Wife. I want to grow

up to be like them. They had good professional careers in New York, then retired to England where they have had fully a second career publishing a talking newsletter for the blind and working with Oxfam. In all of that they have made a point of traveling the world their whole lives. Now in their early ninties, they spent the week poking around the coast and downs of East Sussex with us. They soon will take a cruise ship vacation to Norway with their Saga group.

So this is probably my last entry. Thanks for letting me share the adventure

We sort of crashed a citizens walking tour's tea time celebration. Got a couple steamy cups before all realized the faux pas. We were refreshed, security was doubled, and the band played on.

Grey haired nomads
Hi Sheryl, Sorry we didn't get to Durango - but you can't see it all in 18months! We just have to dance around some of the best places. Thanks for reading our blog and pleased you found time to visit some hotspots in England. We'll be back there within the next month or so. Did you visit Santon Downham in Suffolk by the way? You really should next time! David and Janice The grey-haired-nomads
