Happy days! We had a great time in Penmaen in the Gower region of Wales on a friends brothers farm. Cows, sheep, geese, ducks and chickens. Learnt so much about farming and what a great life Newton has on the farm. We harvested the eggs and cooked them and picked raspberries from his canes and had them with ice cream. The lamb was divine - oh joy too much food! But we walked to the top of Cefy Bryn(thats Kevin Brin to the un welsched amongst us) and could see out to Ilfracomb. Our 1/2 hour walk turned into an hour and a half detour ending up at the King Arthur pub. Won an award for the best floral arrangements in the area. Mumbles was lovely and we went to Rosssili (?spelling) with amazing views and limestone formations. The three Cockerals were very early morning but I think by the third day I would haver slept through. The French cattle were flighty and the sheep were suffering a bit with the wet weather they had before we arrived. We have had brilliant. He cremated his son- the first cremation in the area. He was a druid. Lovely countryside with blackberry bushes for the taking. Wild horses on the common and Freeman can graze their cattle on there - Welsh black were magnificent. Family threw a belated 50th birthday party for me. It was a surprie to say the least and great fun with the kareoke. These Welsh people can sing!!! Especially the men. So tomorrow we go to Cardiff castle to see the new display and then the next day (what day is it by the way!!!) we go to Tenby for the day. life is good!!!Missing my family but heh it's fun. Love to all of you gorgeous people - better go - Welsh Lamb roast awaits. Love and kisses Jayne and Kevinxx
