Two days to go and we've had two days of farewells with rellies in Oldham, Rochdale, Middleton and Glossop.
Last night we had a little industrial heritage with a slap-up meal in the Boat and Horses by the Rochdale Canal, but no narrowboats to be seen. I'm reliably informed it was once a primary route for shifting coal, limestone, bricks and cotton. Nowadays it is a 'leisure facility' alongside the Manchester M60 ring road.
Today we moved on to Glossop, gateway to the High Peak District though this may be contested by Chapel-en-le-Frith.
