A fitting End!!!

The perfect way to round off our trip in Geoff's footsteps to Canada (see earlier blogs). Mum, me and my dog Luca travelled to the Lake district in the North of England on a very wet and windy day to attend the war memorials in Kendal that both have Geoff's name on them. One in the Market Place and the other in .........Park near Romney Bridge.

We'd also booked an appointment with the local newspaper The Westmorland Gazette to tell them our story and maybe get an article published along with the rest of the round up of Rememberance Day news. Never been a model for a newspaper photo before, it kept raining and was quite an interesting experience!!! The article was published the weekend after Remeberance Sunday and generated lots of calls from relatives and friends of the family so a big thanks to Adrian, Glen & michaela from the Gazette for their time.
