A bike ride in Geneva

Hello All,

Today was a day for exploration, I got on a bike and took off away from the city. Surprisingly enough you can travel as far, if not farther, on a bike than you can in a car or on the bus. It takes a little more work and ability but I have found it an ideal way for commuting around. It is an amazing set up because along almost every road there is a designated bike road. Then there are all kinds of bike paths that are walking and biking specific which cut inside into the fields and little towns. Scattered throughout the towns are little garden properties. These are spaces that are rented out for people who live in the city or apartments who don't have a yard but would still like to participate in gardening. Growing fruits, vegetables, flowers or anything else is a major element of almost everyones life here. It is refreshing to see that the people are willing to substitute larger housing areas so that they can include and maintain a natural element.
