hello everyone! I know it has been a while since my last entry and I apologize. This last month has been a little bit crazy compared to the other months of my travels. I have been jumping around and having limited access to computers. I am now in a set location for a couple of days and can now inform you of my journey. It started after Croatia. I was scheduled to go to Scotland and camp in the highlands for two weeks fallowed by a trip to Holland and France. The trip started out according to plan but quickly took a dramatic turn. While in Scotland my two companions and I became violently ill. Each one of us suffered a vicious stomach bug that really knocked us out. After two days of being sick and ... read more

Hello again, I have returned from the east... well eastern Europe that is, and I will say it was a very pleasant experience. Crystal clear waters, hot sunshine, good company, beautiful sights... there are many wonderful things do discover around the world and Croatia is no exception. I have spent the last ten days touring Split, a Croatian coastal city on the Adriatic Sea and the islands just off the coast. It has been a dramatically different experience from the rest of my travels thus far but one that will always be remembered. Split is a tourist city and 70% of their income is from the tourism industry. So one can imagine what the energy of a place like that is like. People from all over the world, restaurants, day treks, markets with stands and people ... read more

Cheers everyone, Well I have finished my five weeks on the farm and what an amazing time it has been. This was a truly special adventure in ways that are hard to explain in words. Barnacre farm is a world of its own and because of that a once in a lifetime experience. I feel so happy that I was able to participate while I could. Having joined the group towards the end I was able to be there for the completion of the project and see alot of people who have lended a hand over the past four years. Hearing everyone's stories of projects and events that took place over the years was really great. Around 300 helpers have come to Barnacre and each has had a similar but different experience. There are those elements ... read more

Hello everyone, Update from the farm... I am in Morton which is a small town outside of Liverpool city and the place I am staying is called Barnacre. There are so many words to describe this place but a few include chaotic, crazy, strange, tough, dirty, wet, muddy... and AMAZING haha! This place is so much fun, we work hard during the day and play hard in the evening. I am involved in what has been called, and documented by the BBC, the largest eco friendly self sustaining self build in all of the U.K. Russell and Helen Kenan and their four children have opened their home and their way of life to helpers all around the world in order to achieve such a monumental project. I have arrived towards the end of the build in ... read more

Hola, bonjour and hello! I apologize for the lack of posts and updates over the past few weeks but I am glad to report that I have reached my destination of Santiago de Compostela and finished the long walk through southern France and northern Spain. I am now back in Geneva taking a little break before heading out on my next journey to liverpool for some help exchange work. Now for the Camino... what to say? There is sooooo much to tell about it but i think that I can sum it up by saying that choosing to walk was the best decision I have made up to this point in my life. The whole experience has been everything you could imagine. Amazing, difficult, happy, beautiful, breathless, unbelievable, scary, fatiguing, social, lonely, all of it rapped ... read more

Hey everyone, I know it has been a few days since I posted last but I just wanted to check in with everyone. I am doing good and still hanging out. I have met some young people that are friends of my cousins and they have been showing me a good time. I have gone out for drinks, had a nice large friendly lunch, a spectacular walk around Lac Leman (lake Geneva) and a tour of the CERN facility, (this is the particle accelerator that is located in France and Switzerland). I am sorry to report that I don't have any new pictures as of right now. This week more family is coming into town and we are all getting ready to take a trip to Le Puy in France to spend easter weekend. Then after ... read more

Hi again, Today I took a trip into the city to wonder around. This was my first trip into town without any one to help me along. It was not as difficult as i thought it would be. I was able to jump on the bus and head into the heart of Geneva. From there I ended up touring around the city trying to get good representational shots to bring back. It is a beautiful city that is centered around Lake Geneva (or as its called here Lac Léman). I still have not gone into any shops and tried to purchase anything mostly cause I don't really have a grasp of the language of french yet, but I'm working on it. That will have to be another adventure into town. For now this will have to ... read more
