On the road...again!
She ducked and dodged, watchful, eyes alert, dark black.
Studying, waiting, learning...
Then, the light changed, the look was another.
She knew.
She was ready.
Uh oh, time to get out of here!
Too late.
She weaved like a cobra, hypnotic
She was coiled and poised to strike
One, two, three, you were hit by a tree!
Full speed, different angles, no chance!
She is small, she is light, she is clear-faced and bright-eyed, fast and furious, sweet and shy.
She is Sonia, from a small fishing village called Chapora, Goa.
She is the World Boxing Champion.
All this happens nightly in the simple gym, simple work, not simple results...Go Tigers!
As I nurse my bruises, I relive the past year, a year of intense activity, no real time or inspiration to continue my travel tales.
I left you in Bolivia, after having been champions in Argentina...
I am now back in Goa, India, discovering new sports, new challenges and new projects.
After Bolivia, Brazil overland through the Pantanal, avoiding Jacare' and enjoying the Litoral Paulista as well as fulfilling that dream of Hang Gliding over Rio!
A magic ceremony in Sao Paulo charged me up for a whirlwind tour de Suisse, teaching, learning, playing, seeing friends again after a year and a half on the road...
Then, back home to Ibiza. Family reunion for my Sister's birthday...so many years since we had all been together!
Summer on Ibiza, wild, different, magical, weird, surprising, fun, hard work, growth and clarity!
A quick trip to London, a change of pace, a new face...
Goa.
A plan.
Cairo to Cape Town, giving footballs away, from April to July 2010...crowned by the first World Cup on the African continent!
South Africa 2010.
A pact made over 19 years ago to be fulfilled, a brotherhood promise, a word to be kept, our bond.
To play, inspire, help, encourage, teach, learn, live, smile!
Two friends, couches, balls, adventure, sharing, recording, travel with a purpose!
A trip of a lifetime!
A cultural immersion with Africa, the beautiful game and our good intentions... Passion Football!
I awake in the middle of the night, smiling, yet more details and thoughts and ideas surfacing from the dreamworld!
What else can we do?

Hey Melchior,que pasa!! Wau,leo tus letras y es realmente emotivo.Comprendo la ilusion que transmites de viajar con tu colega,os lo vais a pasar bomba... Yo aquí estoy en tenerife en busca de mi velero para que me lleve al caribe,pasito a pasito voy relizando mi aventura.Estoy en mi primer Couchsurfing y esto es maravilloso.A ver si nos conectamos por el couch como colegas,que aún no se como se hace. bueno señor, disfruta todo al 200%,yo tambien!! un abrazo...

Ciao Zio! Yes of course, I already told you I would love to come, however, as there are different tracks on our course, I have had to alterate the itinerary to accomodate all of my chosen promises! We shall definitely see each other along the great path, naturalmente!
