Okay guys, sorry for the delay. The next couple entries will involve going back in time to the first days of April... Enjoy!

Not much of a break for the traveler after my Italy trip. Thursday I took a day trip to Neuchatel. Yes, technically it was academic because I had one of my 8 required hour-long interviews for my paper there, but let’s be real, after the interview was over I did not do anything academic-related for the rest of the day. There was a cute little Swiss town to explore! I wandered around the old town (one of the cutest ones I’ve been to yet – they just keep getting better and better!), took a free tour of the castle up on the hill, and visited the baker, fromagerie, fruit market, and butcher to get some quality picnic makings. Then I wandered along the lakefront and found a perfect picnic spot on the rocks down by the water’s edge (over the handrail of the sidewalk of course – I decided it was more of a suggestion than a deterrent…) with a view of the city and the water. The only thing missing was the mountains because unfortunately it was a very cloudy day.
