For our second day in San Sebastion we walked along the western end of the bay to three striking iron structures which are Eduaro Chillida’s 1977 statues called The Comb of the Winds.

There is another hill here, Monte Igeldo, but we didn’t have to walk up as there is a funicular to ride. A climb up a tower on the summit which used to be a lighthouse gave magnificent views over San Sebastion and its beaches.

The day was completed by a stroll around the grounds of Palacio de Miramar, a former royal summer retreat.

When we arrived back at the camper stop we were greeted by Trevor and Sheila Redman who are fellow Murvi owners and by coincidence had just arrived on their way to southern Spain.
