1st day...

So found a computer and decided to update everyone...

We have just done are first day - across the pryannes and the spanish border and are staying in a very nice refuge in roncavilles. today was a long 8 hour day - we did get up late so opnlt started walking at 8ish but going uphill all the way to a peak of 1400ft. We are still 900ft up at the moment and our refuge is in the clowds! The scenery was amazing today but after 8 hours of walking we are just about to have a set menu for 9 euroes then head off to bed... tomorrow we plan to slightly less - around 20km and shall see how it goes...
