We went down stairs and had breakfast then organised to have our pack packs on again.....Jacqui will have had three days with out it and she is feeling a lot better so and I have been two days without it …....me I am just being lazy......We have got so use to the packs now that we aren't even aware of the extra 10kg...they are a part of us....We are now committed to a 30k day.....
The day was cold but the sun was shining.......we have a bit of climbing...we weren’t far out of town when we met up with a 35yr old German guy Marcus....he has just broken up with his girl friend and making his way in life...he is going to Vietnam after the walk and then may be to Australia....we stopped and had a coffee and I realised I still had half of the money in my pocket that I was suppose to pay for the backpacks....now we started to worry and hopes that they sent them both on....Jacqui has a quilt pocket...she has a key to the room of the lovely lady who gave her the croissant with a candle in it for her birthday....she forgot to
hand it in...she has left it in her pocket to remind her....now I have one with a few euro's in it..... we walked on and Marcus left us just before lunch.....we took heaps of photo's....cant help it the scenery is spectacular and we have climbed and views are amazing.....we are closer to the end of the walk but I still don’t get sick of the view we are presented with every day...how could one not want to walk....
We stopped at a restaurant and only wanted to get something light to eat but the woman thought we wanted the full menu so we ended up eating a three course meal for lunch...was very nice but we have such a long walk today and we have just spent a hour having lunch...oh well saves having tea tonight.....
Marus caught up with us just before we got to the top of a hill...He had planned to stop further back but decided to continue on....
We finally made it to Tricastela and found our albergue...it was getting close to 6....both our backpacks were there and we owed the man the extra money....I have got rid of my guilt pocket......Marcus had
decided to find a private albergue so we said seeya....
We were shown up to our room.....we went past everyone and they all settled in the lounge room....the snoring man was there......we were given a room in the older section but we had it to our self.....in the overflow room again cause we are late.....oh well at least there isn't any over head pipes....
We showered did a bit of washing and decided to find a pub to have a drink we weren't that hungry.....found a nice one not far away …...was lovely and warm....had a vino tinto (red wine) and met two guys...Thomas from Spain and Thomas from Germany.....Thomas from Spain didn’t speak any english but Thomas from Germany spoke a little Spanish and a little english...they had been walking for a couple of days together....so we had a very disjointed conversation....Spanish Thomas introduced us to a drink Arooha....very nice a little like Tecilla but sweeter....pity I was walking the next day could have had a few.....we met three Irish guys as we were walking out two brothers and a friend...so we had another vino tinto....they were talking to a couple of teachers that were walking a
few days with some school boys...they looked about 15 -16 yrs (the boys)
Left them and went home to bed by 10 hoping the snoring man was at the other end of the building......
