Some of you that may have read our other blog, some of this will be a repeat, but we have tried to fill in some of the details for you about our trip thus far since leaving Lagos. Everywhere we go flowers are important - they even have outdoor sinks along with climbing roses.

Take a look at how the tree bark grew around the wall - almost looks like a sting ray going up the wall

It is hard to believe sometimes how flat the ocean can be.

North of Sines the coast is stark and there are numerous lighthouses to help with navigation.

We sailed past the entrance to the river which leads down to Lisbon, Portugal. We recognized the bridge from our previous travels here.

We decided to anchor in Cascais for the night before continuing our travels north. It is a combination of old and new.

This is quite an impressive new building seen when coming into Cascais anchorage.

It was nice of them to light up this building in Cascais as it gave us a beautiful view from the anchorage.

We didn't have much of a moon on this trip but it is still impressive -sorry the photo isn't!

Fortunately most of the fish pots have good markings on them as they are numerous along the coast.

The lighthouse is situation quite low near Bayone, Spain but still impressive.

It was misty but could still see the town ahead that we are looking forward to explore in the next few days.

Stopped at the local market & saw they even have wine in boxes that are the size of juice boxes as well as quart/liter size! Handy for picnics?!

Thanks for explaining things...
to us landlubbers. I find all this nautical detail fascinating. However, Linda will never let me sail again after our near hurricane event in the Virgin Islands. Even canoes on lakes are out ask far as she is concerned.
