The coast of Galicia was made for walking. In the last blog we said that this part of Galicia was not as pretty or dramatic as further south. Well, it isn´t pretty but it is very dramatic. The coastal scenery is wild, with ragged rocky outcrops and huge sandy bays backed by pine forest and gorse uplands. It is very beautiful. When we drove here in the drizzle we couldn´t appreciate it much. To see the beauty of the coast one needs to get out of the car and walk the coastal paths. Then it is possible to appreciate the scenery.

We have enjoyed two days here and tomorrow we are leaving Galicia and heading east into Asturias. Galicia really is a shining jewel in Spain´s crown. A place worth coming back to and we shall.
