My Sleep Patterns have been so Jacked since getting to Spain. Going to bed at 3am and waking up at 3pm, its a bit crazy to do, But its the only time I Can facetime Friends back in Boise. Today I actually made it to the Pool around 1100am, and it was Hot out! The temperature outside had to be in the upper 30's Which im not 100%!s(MISSING)ure on the exact conversion to fahrenheit but I would say its close to 100 degrees. So I spent a Good chunk of my Afternoon by the pool Roasting. Then we decided to go out on the town, so we ventured to to Plaza Mayor, where we found The Mercado De San Miguel. We ate at a traditional Spanish Cerveceria called "Bar Eduardo" is an Outside dinning Cerveceria located kitty corner from the Mercado De San Miguel. The Mercado is a Really modern Indoor Market for meat, fruit, cheese, and sweets. This Glass walled market is packed full of people buying and selling; with a constant flow of people in and out. We decided that the Mercado was to busy to have a sit down lunch, and that is when we spotted Eduardo's outside.
Eduardo's brought a smile to my face, Because the Waiter was Goofy to say the least. This Silver haired Spanish man was an experienced waiter; had a sense of Humor, and a terribly awesome laugh. I Honestly had no idea what to Order, so I asked him what his Favorite dish was on the Menu. King Prawns... I was Okay with that, Big Shrimp thats no big deal. He came out with a Plate full of 20 King Prawns and 8 packets of Mayonasia (mayonnaise) to dip my Prawns in. At this point I was thinking "what a Classy Traditional Spanish favorite!" I didn't Hate on the fact I was eating seafood dipped in Mayo, cause Im sure if an Italian were to come to America and see someone dip their pizza in Ranch would feel the same. The thing about Europe is things are not the same especially condiments such as Ketchup, Mayo, and Mustard; they taste very different than the Heinz products Im used to back home. So Needless to say I only used one packet of Mayonasia for my 20 Prawns.(ahahaha) The King Prawns where huge about as wide as a thumb, and longer than my biggest
finger. I had to de-Shell the Prawns including remove the Head, Legs and Tail-fin piece; by the time I had finished my fingers where dyed Orange and Pink. I had Prawn paste in every cuticle of my fingers, and they where Stinky. But I did enjoy the Meal, and I thanked the waiter for his good recommendation. We Left Eduardo's and walked around Plaza Mayor we gift shopped, and saw some sights. We never know where we are going, because we only need to know where we have been. We ended up walking into a Memorial Park, and I saw this man writing a song to play on his guitar. Im pretty sure he was Homeless, but he wasn't begging, he was intent on writing like he was creating his masterpiece that was going to change the world. So I felt compelled to take his picture even though I never Heard a sound from him or his guitar. It was so hot out, so we followed the shade, and it led us to this Character in an ACDC t-shirt. He is a talent vendor and his sign read "your name in 2 Minutes" his talent was working soft wire into
This Guy!
Very Talented, he is holding a necklace that says Kelsey calligraphy. It was quite amazing how fast he worked and the Quality of the lettering. The thing I remember the most about this man was the faded tattoo on his forearm of Burt and Ernie from sesame street. It made me think of my dad and all his tattoos; all of his tattoos have meaning. So what did Burt and Ernie mean to this guy?
Adios
