In the morning Philip and I enjoyed some more sightseeing before heading down for a much needed swim at the beach. It was fantastic and much nicer than swimming in the Thames (which I have never tried by the way, but I can imagine).

In the afternoon we travelled to Valls for the LFAC Grand Final between Valls and Bareclona. It was a great game and quite close in the end. There was a decent crowd as well, complete with a bloke from Senegal who was banging on the drums, which added to an already great atmosphere.

In fact there were a number of blokes from Senegal playing in the match, which was great to see. Afterwards one of the Catalan government officials spoke about the importance of using sport to achieve social integration and I couldn't agree more. That was the fundamental principle behind the creation of the Multicultural Cup in Melbourne.

Interestingly, the behind posts were only 1 metre from the goal posts, instead of the usual 6.4 metres. This is because the bloke who built them was not infomed otherwise, so he went ahead and built them. Another great example of how international footy
