Well, Carnaval weekend in Spain was a lot of fun...in fact, I had never celebrated Carnaval (Mardi Gras) in the US, so this was my first.

I was super sick pretty much all weekend, but I refused to halt since I had made plans. I went out Fri night, but ended up going home early. Slept all day (literally) on Friday, until I woke up & got ready for dinner.

You see, my friend from Scotland (Ana María) and 3 other ladies from Gym Bym & I went to a special dinner. Dinner was beautiful, but the best part was the show we saw after...it was a show (Espectáculo de los boys)...yes, they call it 'Espectáculo de los BOYS.' Yes, a strip show! A spanish strip show! It was a blast!

The boys were super hot & there was even a bombero (firefighter). Ann Marie has made friends with him. Hmmm...what a nice friend to have...

Needless to say that eve helped me get over my gripe (flu) a little bit...

Long story short, at the end of the night when I went home early (3:30 am) I thought I had lost my keys (ended up being at Ann Marie's) & I stayed up for an hour packing my bags for my next excursion of the weekend in...CIUDAD RODRIGO (stay tuned for my next blog...complete with pics!)

FYI--Aguedas is the day where women have the control & tell the men what to do!!! That was the premise & purpose, naturally, of going to the strip show...
