CASTILE LA MANCHA TOLEDO, TOLEDO, TOLEDO...The city is spectacular...
Monochromatic, Old, Stone, Rock, River, Perched on a hill, Medieval and maze like, beautiful narrow streets, plazas and cafes, church galore, the old Jewish quarters and synagogues, the monasteries...The list goes on...Every corner was a surprising delight...The Mezquite Del Cristo De La Luz was amazing...In the Moorish style, it was originally a mosque that was converted to a church after the crusades...Toledo is a mix of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim styles...I fell in love with the handmade Gold Plates...The cheapest one is about 300 euros, so I just took a picture of them...
As you enter the province of Castile La Mancha, the land of Cervantes and his Don Quixote... you can imagine what landscape Cervantes saw for his story...The earth is yellow spotted with Broccoli shaped trees...It is comical and seems not real...You are constantly reminded of him throughout the town...
I am staying another day in Toledo, The cultural capitol of Spain...shopping around and taking it easy...Friday Heading to Madrid...
