Day 8

Today we woke up and ate breakfast but didn’t go on our walking tour because it was raining. They gave us two hours to ourselves and then we met up again for lunch. We drove up Monte Igueldo where there was an amazing view of the city and the beach. We had paella for lunch. Fortunately by the time we were done eating it had stopped raining so we were able to tour the city.

<span> Afterward we had some more free time and we walked around on our own. We ended up taking a long walk on the beach. The tide was low and the sky had cleared up so it was a gorgeous night. Our professor told us the water was absolutely freezing but it was the warmest Atlantic water I have ever been in.

<span> Tomorrow we leave for Bilbao.
