I am planning on driving from San Sebastian to Cadaques. The directions I am getting from Google are taking me far north through France. Is this the only route to take? Is it scenic? I am not familiar with what I need (documents/fees) when crossing into France and then getting back into Spain. Please advise.

I am a 7th grade math teacher in New Jersey and love to travel although travel is difficult to do during the school year and I'd rather do it then than during the summer with the rest of the masses!... full info
