walking idge Every country has it's own ways so has Spain. You have no chance to eat before 8 O'clock. So when we were all settled we went out to see what there was to eat. But tit were all closed doors. We just had to wait. We found a small place that was open just before openings time. So we were winners anyway. We had steak with a salad and chips. Not to bad. No dessert it was to late said Liz otherwise she would not be able to sleep. Must be true for we both had a good sleep. We stayed in Bilbao so were not in any hurry. We were up at 7.30 and at 8.30 we made an appearance at the breakfast table. Always an interesting time. Organising your breakfast in what or what not to eat you have the time to look around and look over your fellow travellers. What they are eating and how much they are eating is part of our breakfast conversation. You can come to amazing debates about the clothes people wear or the amount of food on their plates. They do like their sweets in Spain. There are always lots of cakes standing

on the bridge ready and many people old and young take the opportunity to have some. I have sinned as well. It was now time to make plans what to see in the city. We knew we wanted to visit the museum of Guggenheim. It is an unusual building that we like to see. To get there we had to cross the river over this amazing foot bridge. There is a short way that are steps the long way you do the walk. We took the long way. You can't miss the building. it sticks out like a sore thumb. A huge spider ,from metal stands in the front. You can walk through the legs. We went inside, there were expositions of different artists. We were really not that interested so we after looking over the inside we went out and found ourselves on a large open plaza. A clicking noise made me look. I saw three fantasy animals, you could call them birds that clicked their faces on to the ground. They did that in a very good coordination. It was a very funny way all to make some money. They did very well. Bilbao is a nice place. Has beautiful fountains
and parks. Wide streets filled with traffic. The maps you get supplied are not entirely correct. We had to look and ask a few times to get to the places we wanted to see. Of course like always we walked in the wrong direction but nice gentleman send us the right way. Not long now and we had a nice cold beer in front of us. Well deserved. Tomorrow we leave for Leon 375 km away.
