Slovenia!

Next stop after Salzburg was Ljubljana, Slovenia. A really beautiful city with a river running through it, a castle, lots of old architecture, you know the usual here in europa.
There must be something in the water there because 9/10 females were stunning, it was like walking into some twilight zone town. We toured the castle, which had a really nice view of the whole city and environs. Stayed at a great hostel that was converted from a prison into this artsy place with a bar/restaurant/hooka lounge. Saw a gypsy band perform, good times. Right next door to the hostel was a place called Metelkova, it's this converted military barracks that a bunch of artists/punks took over after the army left long ago. They converted it into a huge artist colony, with studios, a bar/club, etc. Mike and I checked it out one night and saw a band play, met some interesting folks.

Ljubljana
I was in Ljubljana last summer, it is really nice town, so many things to look, so many interesting places... I was told that it is even better during the vinter, maybe I'll come again.
