Romania - random observations 2

these observations mean nothing except that I observed them - they are not intended to judge, only document

* lots of older couples walking arm-in-arm - it's so heart-warming
* cheap taxis and lots of them
* People over-explaining directions and answers
* most of the private security guards (rent-a-cops) dress in all-black quasi-riot gear
* shoarmas, a national fast-food, aren't that great - they're kind of like a big salad and french fry sandwich with some meat thrown in - and are twice as big as they need to be
* on the other hand, chifteles - a sort of loose-packed meatball - are fabulous from the deli
* I love the aerated milk chocolate bars are splendid
