Monday morning would be a full day of sightseeing in and around Krakow, including Wawel Castle and the Old Town. Unlike other Polish cities, Krakow's buildings and monuments were not destroyed during World War II. Mila Supermarket

Mila supermarket. The signage is for the former Kino Wanda (cinema) and later Delikatesy Wanda. Built in 1912. Repurposed in 2003. Ulica Świetej Gertrudy 5. IMG_5505p1

Monument to the Victims of Nazism

Pomnik Ofiar Nazizmu - Monument to the victims of Nazism. Memorial to the victims of the Płaszów concentration camp near Kraków. Installed in 1964. DSC_0562p1

Zamek w Przegorzałach

Belvedere. Built in 1922 as a private residence. Enlarged and named Schloss Wartenberg by the Germans during World War II. Often called Zamek w Przegorzałach (Przegorzały Castle). Currently, the castle houses the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University, Center for Holocaust Studies and a restaurant. Ulica Jodłowa 13. DSC_0746p1

Thank you for your comment! Krakow is beautiful and it is original, not destroyed during World War II. I'll be continuing to describe our discoveries at other Polish Cities. Gdansk was a great surprise.
