To the Fjords

Today we crossed the country of Norway from east to west, crossing over it's 'spine'. It was a 6 1/2 hour drive which started in the valleys near Lillehammer, continued through the central mountains and descended to the base of the longest fjord in the world. The roads were winding and narrow and the pace was slow, but around every turn was a new magnificent sight.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words - and I cannot attempt to put into words what we saw today. So I'll just post a few of the many, many pictures we took during the drive.

Beautiful Photos - Thanks
Ralph and Randi, some beautiful photos - now I'm jealous that I haven't seen this myself. Would be helpful to see more pictures of Ralph after 5 - 7 hour hikes among the glaciers and fjords. Have a great time!
