Presentation day. The previous night when I returned home feeling the effect of the Amstel beer, I implored Jochem and Jaust to allow me to skip a lecture or two the following morning such that I could wake up refreshed. Jochem's response was, “We have a saying here in Holland. It is, ‘A man in the evening, and a man in the morning’”. Translation: Party hard at night, but wake up early and put a full working day in the next day. With that source of inspiration in mind, I bound out of bed at 0900 hr, to a delicious breakfast (complete with chocolate spread and chocolate sprinkles - I am, after all, in Holland) prepared by Jochem.
