PREPARED TO SHOP TILL I DROP!

(when life gives you money, you spend it until you can spend no more!)

DAY FIFTEEN:
With another empty day, mum thought it was about time to do a little bit of shopping and of course where better to go than to Amsterdam itself. So we started with a small drive to Hoorn where dad dropped us off at the train, because we didn't have a hope in attempting to park in Amsterdam and seeing that the train station is so central anyways, it really wasn't a drama. So We caught the train, it was like a half an hour ride all the way to Amsterdam Central with only two stops on the way and the train is nearly luxurious. It's big and spacious, lots of seat room and fold able benches for laptops and stuff. So the ride itself goes pretty quick. We left at around 12:20 from Hoorn so by the time we'd gotten of the train and out of the station it was nearing 1:00 which meant we still had an entire day ahead of us for as much shopping that we could fit in. Getting

here's just a casual snap of Amsterdam, you can tell the soccer is on with all the decorations! and seeing orange people was not uncommon.
out of the station our first mission was to find the shopping street. Mum's instructions were just walk straight from the station. But seeing that the station had two exists and a canal pretty close by, the instructions where never going to be that simple..

Firstly we passed a lot of souvenir shops, but that's understandable it's a pretty big tourist collector. We figured be where more or less going the right way, so we just walked on. The souvenir shops where insane, some that we walked past we just thought, 'this is too big not to go into!'. And being in Amsterdam, the souvenirs never disappoint! I did learn that that cannabis energy drinks exist! i never knew of such a thing, other than that there where a lot of other weed substances all available. But then again, why wouldn't there be? it's all legal!

Anyways, with some more endless wandering we finally made it to the shopping district, it was packed with endless streets of shops! One after another.. H&M is a very well known shop in Holland, well.. we passed around 5 or 6 of them. They could have an entire shopping center just dedicated

to H&M! It was ridiculous, anyways some awesome shops in Amsterdam are Coolcat, NewYorker, Urban Outfitters, H&M and so many others, they have shops for everything and every style.. it's perfect! We spent an easy 6 hours shopping, and we had the intention to go to a museum or a gallery in museum, but that just didn't happen because we'd been shopping all day! We stopped for lunch in a small cafe i had a hotdog and chocomel, and mum had a wrap and lemonade. My little sister didn't feel like anything from there, so we stopped at a snack bar so she could indulge in a frikandel! we continued shopping until eventually we'd done a loop and arrived near the train station.. or so we thought. We came to an open space at the end of a street and we saw the signs 'Amsterdam Central Station' so we followed the sign around for a little while and then we stopped and thought.. 'huh? we've seen all this before!' somehow we'd managed to do a complete circle and we still have no idea how we even managed it. so we got to the part where we saw the signs and

it's not even a competition. Frikandel XXL wins every time.
thought we'd try again. Well this time we took a different road to where the sign was pointing and surely enough we ended up at the station.

At the station we only needed to wait 5 minutes, so we practically walked straight onto the train to catch back to Hoorn. then half an hour and he had arrived there! dad was going to pick us up, and mum called home to let him know but he already left to take my cousin to the bus stop. Thankfully that was in Hoorn too, so it all worked out in the end. Then we stopped in Wieringerwerf at a snack bar for a frikandel for tea, dad got an XXL it was ridiculous! But after tea, we headed back home and just settled down and just relaxed, we were all well and truly exhausted by then. But none the less it was another excellent day! 😊
