A massive Windmill in the countryside just outside Amsterdam city. Woke up this morning pack our tents and had breakfast before packing the coach and setting off quite early. Today was another long driving day. We spent most of the entire day driving through Germany and The Netherlands, to Amsterdam. We had a tasty lunch stop and the usual toilet break stops as we got closer to Amsterdam. When we were just outside the city we stopped off at a farm which produced two things Amsterdam was famous for, cheese & clogs. We had a brief tour by a couple of guys who were totally high off their face, it was then we knew we were in Amsterdam. He gave us a brief explanation of how they made their cheese, gave out a few samples then we were shown how they made wooden clogs in the next room. Quite a random two things to specialize in, cheese & clogs, then again we were in Amsterdam. Shortly after we boarded the bus and stopped once more at a famous windmill, just outside the city. We group rushed out snapped up a few photos then rushed back into the bus as we headed into the city.
It wasn’t until after 7PM we

A recently finished hand-made clog. Our demonstration shoe is the wooden one to the left. reached our campsite in Amsterdam, which seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. It had been another terrible day of weather and as we started to setup our tents it started to drizzle. The group quickly got ready then jumped back aboard the bus for a night out in town. Billy dropped us off in the red light district where Jamie gave us a quick tour. It was a very unusual place and quite professionally run, the girls were attractive and apparently clean, it was quite a business here in Amsterdam. After a very interesting tour around the red light district we had a very short amount of time to get some dinner before we were off to an optional which was going to be very awkward, a sex show. It was just that, entry gave us each two drinks and a prime seat to watch strange sex acts and tricks then finally watch 2 people go at it in front of everyone. As weird as it sounds it was very funny and the performers brought a few guys up on stage to lend a helping hand, it was hilarious.
After an entertaining show to say the

Walking through the streets and canals which make Amsterdam. least, the group headed off to some famous pubs. A few of us took advantage of what one of the many coffee shops had to offer. The entire group sat and drank till the early hours of the night, some of us getting high as well, it was a very trippy night. Hannah, myself and a few others eventually left when the gappies started hitting the clubs, wasn’t really our thing, we had a few more drinks at another pub before making the long walk to find the bus that took us back to the campsite. Though when we finally found it we had only just missed it, the next one wasn’t for over an hour, instead we split a taxi back. The rest of the group weren’t far behind us, as soon as we returned to camp we fell asleep.
