I was lucky enough to be visiting some friends I'd met in Slovakia - though why everyone sniggers when I tell them I was staying with a manager at Dutch customs, I'll never know.

Several day trips to Maastricht, Eindhoven and a crazy night at a Johnny Winter blues concert were highlights.

Jos, Thom, Kiki (and Zuzana) I'm forever indebted to your generosity, your good humour and your amazing ability to always gauge the mood. And for the photos! Let's not forget the photos... Jos, there will surely be a karmic reward for your toils!

Ever since the innocent arrival of Boonie at 25 Carlton Street in late 2005, I've felt an unexplainable urge to play ping pong, eat Monte Carlos and drink 52 cans on a plane.
