The Netherlands remained neutral in World War I, but suffered invasion and occupation by Germany in World War II. Hello all, Today we had another boring day of travelling on autobahns. However I can now say that I have been in three different countries in one day - Belgium, Germany and Holland. We are back at Aunty Margareth's house, where we have been feed and watered. We emptied the car and now have the mission of trying to fit it all back into our suitcases. After our massive meal (I think Auntie Margareth was cooking for 18!) we went into town to the flea market. I couldn't convince Auntie Margareth to go on the carnival rides - so instead we [View Full Entry]

We were out on the water for a couple of hours and had a great time. We saw quite a few house boats (like an actual house on a [View Full Entry]

At the moment we are trying to recover the lost blogs with the help of Google and Yahoo cache pages. Every recovered blog will published again on the travelblog. After publishing a travelblog again you receive a e-mail that inform you about a new travelblog. Apologise for that. But we hope we can recover the lost blogs again. Love Monkey and Bear. Kamp Westerbork Europe » Netherlands » Drenthe » Assen
On October 15th, I went with the International Student Organization ('Wings') to Camp Westerbork, a Nazi camp in the northern Netherlands. It was a day trip by tour bus that was actually only 5 hours total, but it was really interesting, and I'm glad I went. There are currently raised mounds where [View Full Entry]
