After leaving the Biogradaska Gora national park, we went to Skadarsko Jezero, a huge lake close to the seaside. The way there was a bit difficult because we had to drive through a very long canyon that went almost all the way from the national park to Podgorica. Driving next to these big rocks seemed quite dangerous, most of all because it was raining a lot and once we even had to stop because it was raining so much we couldn't see the road anymore.
It was impressive though and very beautiful.

We arrived to Virpazar around 4 PM, 2 hours, 115 km and 20°C away from the national park. The temperature difference was immense!
Virpazar is a lovely town, but we were hit by all the people trying to sell us a boat tour on the lake! That's what made it uncomfortable to walk in the centre of this small town. Finally, we booked a boat trip for the next morning with a tour agency the tourist info and lonely planet had recommended us and then we left to the camping we had found just 1 km from this town. The owner of this camping (Auto-Camp) gave us a warm welcome and he was such a nice guy! The camping was beautiful as well, mostly the camping ground behind his house with all the trees and the picnic place. Finally, we were able to wash our tent, our clothes and to have a hot shower! We felt like a newborn! :-)
There we met a nice couple from France who were travelling by public transport, not so great as it turned out because you are very limited on your possibilities. We wanted to offer them to give them a ride to the coast on the next day, but unfortunately our car was too full to take anyone...
We spent the night with a good meal and a bottle of wine before falling asleep exhausted as we were.

The next day, we had a long breakfast and then we had to hurry to get to town in time for our boat-tour. When we arrived they told us it would start half an hour later than planned but the waiting was worth it, the lake and the view from the boat was gorgeous! We were 10 people one the boat, one family of 6 people a couple from Hamburg and us. They were very nice and we had a wonderful time, admiring the beauty of this lake and the birds and water-lilies all around. We even went for a swim in the lake which made me very happy! :-)
