When we arrived at Plateliai we went on a guided tour of a decommisioned Russian Nuclear missile facility in the vacinity. This site is not yet fully opened to the public, so we had a guided tour whilst the renovations were on going and saw what they were doing with the site. It was really cool and we think will be well worth a visit next year when the renovations are completed.

We then went back to our hotel for an excellent dinner and a few more of the local beers ;-)

This is the original generator that was used to power the site. The locals found it too hard to strip when the site was abandoned, so it stayed in place.

This room was originally where part of the rocket fuel was stored. Borris wanted a photo taking :-)
