April in the back of the truck

arrived in the night...again.
after some trouble we managed to find a "hostel". it was a students residence,that worked as a hostel during the summer!the recepcionist didnt speak english at all ( that happens quite a lot in here...i usually find it funny not to understand a word of what foreign people are saying. but this recepcionist lady wasnt being so receptive... ) , she was about to kick us out when too students came to the rescue - ENGLISH SPEAKING LATVIAN GIRLS!!somehow they could convince the lady. thats how we met Ruta ( sorry if i spelled it incorrectly...). She was surprisingly nice and showed us everything and made us feel at home...then we met Laura, another amazing girl, at her room. I borrowed her guitar and tryied to play something that Ruta would apreciate ( these were two girls of metal. Heavy rock rock rock! ) placebo, smashing pumpkins,...nothing comin on. It was kurt cobain who came to the rescue... =D
They gave us pans and other cooking stuff...we went to the Super Neto supermarket..and then cooked some sardine pasta with olives - i ate like an animal.
everybody treat us nice. i was very happy.

then, ruta

and laura took us walking in the deserted streets of liepaja. the sky was bright and stary. It was the best walk. we went to the beach, finaly the sea, the amber coast. happy feeling. covered with snow and ice, the beach going on forever... calm sea, sweet melody. i cant describe.

Ruta said that after the storms, the amber is washed to the sea shores...the latvian gold, they say. how misterious can that be?
we couldnt find any , so ruta gave us some amber rocks.
It was an amazing walk.
