We are surprised as we arrive in Florence, it's big, confusing and easy to get lost in.

But Florence is leather city and we set off to find the leather market - asking for directions to the market is impossible because they have no idea what we are asking.

We browse through some leather shops and get overwhelmed by shop owners trying to sell some products - at the best price for tourists of course.

I have my eyes set on a clutch bag while MZ is looking for a handbag.

After browsing and walking around for hours we discover the market by accident. Leather belts, purses, wallets, handbags, ipad covers, travelbags, galore.

We were overwhelmed with the amount of shops at the markets.

We decided to look through the stalls and go back the next day - when we started buying.

In Florence we also saw the fake statue of David, with no intention of paying to go into the museum To see the real one.

We only planned on spending three days here, but decided to cancel the one day in Pisa and stay another night.

We also stayed in three different hotels - the one really located in the outskirts, we had to walk through dodgy alleys but finally located it near a bus stop.

After that we stayed closer to the center, and it was also here were the whores stood on street corners, in clothes so skimpy we couldn't help but stare... Openly.

We discussed a going rate and came to the conclusion that euros could not possibly be spent like that.

The second last night we listened to street performers and stayed in the center. We got food at a supermarket and ate while listening to local musicians. The food was horrible might I just add.

The last daY In Florence we went our seperate ways, MZ got on the first train to Pisa and I tried locating the English newspaper in Florence and trying out as much cappuccino as possible.

After hours of walking and asking people who didn't understand me, it seems the newsroom is now a pharmacy.

I enjoyed four cups of cappiccino that day and even though the coffee is imported from Columbia and Ethiopia, they sure know how to brew a good cup of Joe.

Our last night neither of us slept as someone in the guesthouse were slamming doors and moving things around at the weirdest hours of the night.

From there we went to Venice...
