Venice
A street scene Hi Folks a short drive to Venice thats until the blasted garmin started its games again. Its turning out to a right pain and not delivering what it said on the tin when I bought it. Took us round in circles for ages before we had to stop and ask someone for directions. Got to hotel where great receptionist checked us in and printed off times of the trains to Venice. Used local trains to go into venice for the day. Fell foul of the cardinal sin of buying food without asking how much and got stung even though we know better and were well warned about Venice prices. Anyway paid 38 euro for two slices of very nice Pizza and two cans of Fanta. How stupid do we feel. Lets move on, Venice what a marvel this place is and a good time to visit not to busy or hot. Actually it rained all day but didn't stop the enjoyment. We got a local map and walked from the train station via the bridges to St Marks Square. Of course the square was partly being renovated so was half covered in scaffolding. Got some good pictures tho. Looked at ferry
St Marks Square
From the Grand Canal prices from Venice to Turkey but decided to carry on driving.
