View from our rented apartment in Tuscany
Hi folks Finshed of our camping and packed away all the gear, made bringing it all that way worth it. Booked an apartment in Tuscany for a week looks great on web site, based on an Organic farm estate. Owners as part of deal has agreed to supply some of there products for our stay. When we arrived through the biggest thunder storm that we had ever witnessed. Glad we were not camping here as it rained all day. True to their word we were presented with free range eggs, Organic olive oil, Organic wine, home made pasta, Local Honey and home made bread. All were sampled and tasted really great. During our time here we visited Pisa, Florence and Volterra. All were great for different reasons. But my highlight was Volterra. An ancient fully walled town that even the Romans failed to take over by force but did try for five years. They eventually cut a deal to allow Volterra to self rule as part of the empire, learned a lot on a guided walking tour anyone visiting this town well worth taking it. Leaves main bus terminal area at 6.00pm every night. Tuscany is a stunning part of the

Eunice still thinks we stayed in Volterall bit of a pain really
world so laid back. Word of warning watch out for cops with white handbags seeking out tourists to give them parking tickets, yip I got one 38 euros for parking where tourists are not allowed to or so ticket said, signs were not that clear. Pissed off, especially when you see how cars are parked, double parked, on corners basically anywhere but nothing is said, Tourists are easy targets, thought about ignoring it but bit the bullet and paid, they need the money to keep the cops handbags white and clean.
We did enjoy this area and were told of really good places to eat by owners and tried them great. Had a mixed bag of weather lots of clouds and rain but didnt stop the enjoyment.
