We got a last minute opportunity to go to venice last weekend as a class. It wasn't with the school but most of our class went. Sometimes making a last minute call on taking a trip somewhere can be exciting and this was no exception. Venice far exceeded my expectations as they pertained to awesomeness and general badassery. The feel of compression and release you get as a pedestrian is unrivaled by any other city I've been to. Admittedly, it was quite touristy. I've never seen so many Americans in one city Eastside Atlantic. I can't bring myself to call it a trap though as it deserves all the tourism it gets. It's like stepping through a time portal as you leave all automobile traffic behind at the train station. We saw a lot of monuments and great museums and got some serious party on at night. Good times.
