We drove through a snow covered winter wonderland this morning on route to Nice via Pisa. When we arrived in Pisa, it was still snowing heavily. Apparently it is very rare for it to snow at Pisa, so we have some very treasured photos with the Leaning Tower.

We said goodbye to Italy and Bonsoir as we arrived in France this afternoon. It is sunny in Nice and a very pleasant 11 degrees. We enjoyed the drive along parts of the Italian and French Riviera today and had a good view of Monte Carlo as well. At the Fragonard Perfumery this afternoon we learnt how perfume is made.

Tonight we drove to Monte Carlo and had a walking and bus tour of the main attractions including the Grand Prix track, Princess Stephanie’s residence and the marina where many expensive yachts are moored. We had a nice dinner and coffee overlooking Monte Carlo.
