The roundtrip started from our camping village in Valdarno (near Florence), which was shitty btw.
Anyhow first we went to Piombine to take a ferry to Elba. No special sights so far, Elba itself was ok but nowhere NEAR Sardinia. In fact there were boats from the port to Elba and Sardinia, and I was playing with the thought to sneak on the other boat :D (No, not really Mr Fruit!)
Later on we went to Florence, which turned out to be a bit of disappointment. I expected a bygone capital of culture science and philosophy but the city didn't have the charm I had expected. It was full of tourists and didn't look characteristically Italian. The Duomo of Florence is pretty impressing and so is the sculpture place near the townhall, where you can also find the copy of Davide with humongous hands.
Ladies, watch out ! Many perverts on their way. If you buy something at the city market - negotiate shamelessly! The sellers can go down really low.
There are a lot of "flying sellers", black people who sell bags,posters and just anything on the open street for cheap and run away from the police. Police wants
to show off from time to time and drives over their stuff with motocycles but if you ask me that's all bullshit and corruption. 1 of 10 000 goes to jail? riiiight
Pisa was our last destination and I liked it most. Only the center is old, the rest got bombed during the 2.WW but I liked the whole city. The "Campo dei Miracoli" (square of miracles) includes
* leaning tower of Pisa
* Duomo
* Baptistery
* Campo Santo
and it's surrounded by a solid wall all around.
Nobody knew where to park the bus so we just parked it amidst of Pisa. 😊 under a "NO PARKING FOR BUS" sign. Rules are not for us!
Jagshemash! I like!
Greetings to my Bilis and Mr Fruit!

Hmm
I still haven't decided what looks more majestic - the Statue of David, or that cheese and mushroom pizza.
