enjoying Mount Etna

We had only a small distance to drive to reach Catania. We wanted to stay there to see mount Etna. On arriving at the B&B in Catania we heard there was no parking and they had no idea where we could park. That was not on the sheet from Book.com. According to that there was parking. We told them and left for we needed parking. We went in the direction of Mount Et na in the hope we would find something. Half way up we had to return there was no fuel anywhere as in Nicolasi. By doing so we found also a place for the night. Checking in they told us we had plenty of time to see Mount Etna. The road to Mount Etna was very good it was winding that slows you down. We arrived at the first station and parked the car. There is a lift that takes you higher up but we would run out of time if we would do that. There are lots of different craters we ventured out to. So we could have a closer look. There was a hard wind blowing that nearly tipped us over. We managed to take some video

and photos. We even found some souvenirs on the mountain. There were lots of people there doing the same thing. We had a bite to eat in one of the many places that are there. On the way down we made several stops to take more photos. We found the place back where we spend the night. Lucky it also had a restaurant. Mornings we had plenty of time to drive to Messina and take the ferry to the mainland. We had to wait for all the cars to. come of before we can get on. Checking our ticket he looked at me and said, you have the wrong ferry. This ticket is for another company three kilometres further back. It was one of those days that nothing works. Well we found the right place after upsetting a few other car drivers through blocking the road. Now not long and we were on board and on the way to the main land. There we had to drive to Cosenza where we would arrive a day early. We had to find a place for one night to catch up with our bookings, but that was no problem. Till next time.
