Today Ron and I started from Olbia, Sardinia in a 4x4 with a couple from New Zealand and headed first for San Giacomo, an are off mountain dirt roads where several old churches were built. The tour had a rest stop there with Sardinian wine, cheese and prosciutto. Next we went off road agian to the tomb of the giants, a several thousand year old stone tomb with giant stone monoliths guarding it. then it was on to a beautiful little village called San Pantaleo which had a nice piazzale overlooking a beautiful mountain escarpment. From there we went to the resort town of Porto Cervo, originally founded by the Agha Kahn in 1962 and now a very upscale resort town of multi-million dollar villas and top designer stores. It was a god day and the weather was great.
