Gold Star Three : The Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno was one of the highlights over the Christmas period. It was planned in the 1850s in an inhabited area and lies now in an area not far from the centre of Genoa.

It is one of the largest historical cemeteries in Europe, full of amazing statues and beautiful ornaments with sculptures in all directions. There are also many monuments which commemorate representative characters of history, culture and arts, both national and local.

I moved to Italy three years ago. I worked for two years in the Tuscany region and this year I've travelled through Rome (6 weeks) Pisa (3 months), Genova (2 months), Bologna (2 weeks), Venice (1 week), Naples (5 days.) Most of this trip was done under the second lockdown when Italy was empty of tourists.
