Such a beautiful reflection of the bridge that withstood the war!!
Ok well i know it's been a while and deffinately time to catch up!! The rest of Italy was absolutely amazing, coming from Canada it really is hard to imagine thousands of years back and all the history that one country can hold!!

From Venice Val and I headed to Florence, we engaged in a few museums one in particular was to see the famous statue of David sculpted by Michelangelo....it was more life like than i could imagine!!! we just stood there staring in amazment at the detail, what a masterpiece! Florence also has a bridge, Ponte Vecchio, which is the only bridge to have survived WWII. It was pretty amazing and now has stores all along it with beautiful gold and diamond jewlery, for our eyes only!! hehe

We took a quick morning trip to Pisa, of course to see the Leaning Tower and take multiple pictures from every angle.....we didn't feel silly as there are litterally hundreds of other tourists doing the same!!! sometime it's such an illusion you compensate your camera with a lean to make it straight but without a doubt it's on the verge of falling down!!!

Continuing on to Rome, with

Pretty much speaks for itself, but we did have a lot of fun with this one!!
so much to see we spent 4 days in Rome, we had such a blast and met some wonderful people while we were there. Partying by night and sightseeing by day Rome is a great city! The few must sees of course beeing the Fountain of Trevi, which had almost a glow about it, then made our way to the ancient city passing the Pantheon, one of the oldest churches around!! The final jaw dropper for us on the first day was of course to see the Colosseum, taking hundreds of years to build and still standing thousands of years later quite the impressive sight to see!! Funny enough we spent sunday on the beach in Rome as you can't visit the Vatican that day.....who would've thought a beach in Rome?? We finally made it into the Vatican and to the Sistine Chapel after a crazy 2 hour wait....but worth it of course and the Sistine Chapel, wall to Ceiling paintings from Michelangelo just captivated us!!!

So that was Rome and the end of Italy as we headed to Greece to enjoy a bit of sun for a week making our way back to London......I'll let you know how

Greece is treating us in just a bit!!!
