Week 19: Rome

Hi Everyone,

This past trip was 4 days in Rome.

It was hotter than heck at 33 above every day with no clouds in sky - great excuse to pile back gelato daily. Barcelona build up enough of a tan on me that I'm not peeling, but it was touch and go for awhile.

Overall thoughts on Rome:


• There's good food around, but don't expect it from random tourist hangouts. Make reservations.
• Book tours ahead of time. The line ups are hours long, and you don't want to do that in the sun.
• Wear lots of sunscreen.
• The metro system is cheap and straightforward. Save money by booking a place further out from the city center.
• Wander



That's about all I can say for Rome. It's a great place, and I'd highly recommend it. My pictures tell most of the story.
