We've been in Rome twice 2012 and 2014. The first time we spent a weekend just the two of us and the second one we went with my mom who was in town for visit. We could say we'll come back everytime we can.
Monuments will leave you speechless, and the Vatican...the only thing you could say it's OMG!. Is the biggest thing we've ever seen! There's no reason you won't love Rome. Maybe the people, they're not so friendly perhaps because they're fed up with tourists but you can always find someone willing to help you if you get lost though. Just because Rome is a big city you must stay at least one week.
